Notice I am working on adding the new coat colours and adjusting the plaintext for each affected today, I'll post in the discord when done!

Dungeon Coursers

Bloodline · the unofficial breeding calculator

A fan-made tool, built by a player for players. Not official, and not affiliated with Dungeon Coursers.

Bloodline

A genetics calculator for Dungeon Coursers. Everything is here from the start, no sign-up, nothing leaves your browser. Pick a tool below, or bring your stable in first.

The tools

Get your coursers in

Only needed for Smart Search and the "from collection" parent pickers. Every other tool works with genotypes typed in by hand.

Import all in one click

Drag this to your bookmarks bar, then click it on your Dungeon Coursers My Characters page to bring in every courser at once. Runs in your browser, no AI.

⬇ Import all (My Characters)

Import a CSV

Upload a spreadsheet of your stable. A Google Sheets template walks you through it.

Add by hand

Type a courser in yourself. Single-courser and Parent-slot bookmarklets live in the Collection tab too.

Foal Generator

Give it two parents and it'll show you four foals they might throw. (Built by Ook, who can't maths.)

Note: In-game, parents need different temperaments to breed. Match them and you'll get a warning, but it still runs.

Tip: Paste a genotype from the site (like Ee Aa nCr nT + Brindle), or pick a horse from your collection.

The possible foals

Collection

Your stable, saved in this browser. 0 horse(s) so far.

Import from Dungeon Coursers

Drag a button up to your bookmarks bar, then click it on a Dungeon Coursers page. Import all grabs every courser on your My Characters page in one go. The others work on a single courser page: Add to Collection saves it here; Parent 1 / Parent 2 drop it into the Foal Generator (import two coursers, one per slot).

No AI involved. The button just runs a tiny script in your own browser that scans the page's code for the genotype you can already copy, and sends it here. Nothing is sent to Dungeon Coursers' servers.

Scroll Generator

Got a custom scroll and no idea what to make? Let it roll you something.

Staring at a blank scroll? Pick a rarity and it rolls you a design.

How a roll works: a coat colour at that rarity, one marking, modifier, or carrier (that rarity or lower), a 1-in-10 shot at an anomaly, a 1-in-20 shot at a variant, and the temperament you pick.

Translate

Paste a genotype (or pick one from your collection) and I'll tell you, in plain English, what the horse actually looks like.

Tip: Works on anything the calculator understands, like Ee Aa nCr nT + Brindle. Pick a variant if you want it factored in.

Layers

Paste a genotype (or pick one from your collection) and I'll lay its traits out in the official visual hierarchy, so you can design in layers from the base coat up.

How to read it: within each column the top layer covers the ones below it. Traits on the same line sit on the same level. Only the traits this horse actually has are shown, so it reads as a paint order.

Somatic

Somatic is a free marking: any horse can wear it, at no cost. It hides one trait inside irregular patches covering up to a quarter of the horse. Paste a genotype (or pick one from your collection) and I'll show you what those patches could look like.

No parents needed. A Somatic patch can only show what's already in this horse — it hides a trait, it never adds one. One genotype is the whole input.

Recipe

The Foal Generator run backwards. Paste the foal you want and I'll work out what its parents would have to be, and how often that pairing would actually throw it.

One allele from each parent. Every pair in a genotype has one side from each parent, so a recipe is really a list of who has to carry what. Nothing here needs your collection. It's what the parents would have to be, whoever owns them.

Exact genotype. The pair below is aimed at this genotype precisely, so the parents carry nothing else. Anything extra they have can land in the foal too.

Chimera Calculator

Rolled Chimera? See what could show up in the patch. Works for lineaged foals (from their parents) and for Creations (no parents).

Lineaged foal: the patch can show anything the two parents could produce, minus anomalies neither parent carries.

Creation (no parents): the patch can be any base colour, plus any of the horse's own traits, but nothing it doesn't already have.
